Garland, TX – The Garland Symphony Orchestra (GSO) is set to host its 2025 holiday concert, “A Nutcracker Christmas,” on December 19th at 7:30 pm at the Granville Arts Center. This festive performance promises to bring the magic of the season to life, featuring the beautiful vocals of soprano Alissa Goretsky, under the direction of Maestro Robert Carter Austin.

The concert will include timeless seasonal favorites, from Tchaikovsky’s enchanting “Nutcracker” suite to Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Christmas Eve.” Additionally, the evening will feature the beloved Holiday Pops Sing-Along, encouraging community participation and making it a splendid experience for families.
Following this holiday spectacular, the GSO will return on January 16, 2026, with a concert starring pianist Vitaly Starikov, who will perform Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Major, Op. 102. This January program will also include selections such as Lehar’s Gold and Silver Waltz, Glière’s Russian Sailor’s Dance from The Red Poppy, Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor.
