Garland, TX – As you step into The Frocksy, the vibrant and eclectic shop owned by Trayc Claybrook and Karin Wiseman, you are greeted by unique vintage finds, jewelry, and fragrances that create an inviting atmosphere. The moment you enter, a pleasant aroma envelops you, setting this store apart from others in the area.
The interior of the shop is adorned with an array of whimsical decorations, including disco balls that catch the light, colorful papier-mache acrobats, and ceramic parrots that decorate the ceiling. Each corner reveals interesting pieces that invite exploration, making it a delight for customers and art enthusiasts alike.
At the back of the store lies a dedicated art studio, where Trayc Claybrook, a professional artist and professor, conducts classes for students of various skill levels. The studio provides an atmosphere where creativity flourishes, inviting participants to learn techniques and express themselves through art.

One of the charming characters in the shop is Penelope, a beloved green metal-crafted alien who once adorned the front of the store. She was the first in a family of aliens created by Claybrook and Wiseman, and her sudden disappearance has left the community searching for her. Penelope is dearly missed and has become an early symbol of what is now fondly referred to as Area 510.
The Frocksy is located at 510 Main in Garland, and when Penelope became a fixture at the front of the store, she inspired the name Area 510, a nod to the famous Area 51. To find Penelope and bring her home, a reward is being offered for her safe return.

As part of their commitment to nurturing creativity in the community, Claybrook and Wiseman offer a series of art classes, including the popular “Happy Fun Time” series designed for teens. These classes will soon be held on Saturday afternoons, providing a welcoming and safe space for young people to engage with art. Claybrook and Wiseman have become the “adopted aunties” of the area, creating a supportive environment where teens can explore their creativity and connect with one another.
Their shop not only serves as a retail space but also as a community hub, where people can come together to share their passion for art and vintage treasures. Claybrook and Wiseman invite everyone to join them in celebrating the joy of artistic expression.

In a world that can often feel overwhelming, the duo’s commitment to fostering a sense of community through art and creativity continues to inspire those who walk through their doors.
