Free Sports Physicals Offered by Parkland Health for Students in Dallas County

Dallas, TX – Parkland Health is offering free sports physicals for students entering 7th through 12th grade for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. The event will take place on Saturday, August 2, from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Southeast Dallas Health Center, located at 9202 Elam Rd., Dallas, TX 75217.

Dallas County Commissioner Dr. Theresa Daniel announced the initiative on Facebook, stating, “Exciting news! I’m pleased to announce that Parkland Health Sports Physicals are available at no cost to you. I look forward to seeing our young athletes get ready for the upcoming school year!”

To participate in the free sports physicals, students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. It is important that students come dressed appropriately for the appointment, wearing athletic wear and athletic shoes. Girls are specifically asked to wear a sports bra or athletic tank top underneath their shirt, and students should bring their glasses or contacts if prescribed. Additionally, hats, jewelry, flip-flops, or sandals are not permitted during the physical.

Interested participants must pre-register and complete necessary documents prior to the appointment. The required forms include a consent to treat and the “UIL” Participation Physical Evaluation form. If any medical conditions are indicated as “yes” on the front page of the form, further explanations must be provided. It is advised that students print these forms ahead of time to expedite the check-in process. Printers are available at local libraries for easy access.
