Garland to Host Christmas on the Square Event on December 4

Garland, TX – The City of Garland is set to welcome the community to its annual Christmas on the Square event on Thursday, December 4, from 5 to 9 p.m. in Downtown Garland. The evening will feature an official tree lighting ceremony, live music, and activities for families, including a snow hill ride and an ice skating rink.

Attendees will have the opportunity to take photos with Santa, enjoy food from local vendors, and explore artisan crafts. Additionally, children will be able to experience train rides and holiday lights throughout the square.

In conjunction with Christmas on the Square, several other holiday events are scheduled in Garland. These include:

  • Garland Square on Ice: Opening on Friday, November 28.
  • Arctic Blast Holiday Storefront Contest: Voting begins November 28.
  • Sensory-Friendly Celebration: Scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 11.
  • Sip N’ Stroll: Taking place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 13.
  • Garland Symphony Orchestra Holiday Celebration: Set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19.
  • Gary Morris: Christmas in Garland: Scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 20.

The Christmas on the Square event is supported by local sponsors, including Garland Power & Light, Sherwin Williams, Lazy Dog, Atlético Dallas, and Garland Water Utilities.
