Garland, TX – Hope Clinic of Garland is thrilled to announce a major leadership win: Executive Director Tanya Downing has been selected to participate in the prestigious, invitation-only New Strategies Rising Program at
Georgetown University’s Business for Impact. Ms. Downing’s participation in the advanced program, running November 9 – 12, 2025, is made possible through generous funding from the Nonprofit Access Fund.
This is not a typical executive training—it is an exclusive, highly selective, four-day intensive designed to supercharge the revenue and impact of leading nonprofits that are working directly with underrepresented communities.
Securing the Future of Healthcare for Garland
The competitive selection of Tanya Downing underscores the recognized importance of Hope Clinic of Garland’s mission. The clinic provides essential, free healthcare to uninsured and underserved residents across Dallas County. By attending New Strategies Rising, Ms. Downing will gain cutting-edge knowledge and a powerful national network to secure and diversify the clinic’s funding for the long term.
“To be invited to this program is a testament to the life-changing work our team does every day in Garland,” said Tanya Downing, Executive Director. “Starting this Sunday, I will be bringing the core needs of our community—and our mission to provide compassionate, holistic care—directly to the table at Georgetown. The skills I gain in areas like earned revenue and data-driven strategies won’t just benefit Hope Clinic; they will create a new blueprint for sustainable healthcare access for our neighbors for years to come.”
The Elite Training: What This Means for Hope Clinic
Starting this week, Ms. Downing will join just 30 executive peers from across the country to participate in the pilot program. The curriculum is focused entirely on increasing and diversifying revenue streams and expanding donor networks for organizations committed to equity.
Highlights of the intensive training include:
● Access to Top Tier Expertise: Learning directly from Georgetown business faculty and national leaders in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector.
● Next-Generation Fundraising: Deep dives into innovative topics like cause marketing, strategic storytelling, and advanced data systems management.
● The Network Marketplace: Participation in a pioneering platform designed to directly connect attending nonprofit leaders with a wider philanthropic landscape.
