Garland, TX — Daphne Stanley has officially filed for and is announcing her candidacy for reelection to the Garland Independent School District Board of Trustees, Place 4, in the May 2, 2026, General Election.
Stanley, a current trustee, is seeking another term to continue her commitment to strong public schools, responsible governance, and student-focused decision-making across Garland ISD. During her service on the Board, she has worked collaboratively with fellow trustees, educators, families, and community members to support academic excellence and ensure fiscal responsibility.
“Serving the students, families, and taxpayers of Garland ISD has been an honor,” said Stanley. “I am running for reelection to continue advocating for high-quality education, and policies that put students first while respecting our community’s diverse voices.”
Stanley emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and community engagement as Garland ISD continues to navigate academic priorities and to address the continuing challenges facing us for State funding. Along with the new School Choice in Texas.
“I believe our schools are strongest when parents, teachers, and trustees work together,” she said. “I look forward to continuing that work and earning the trust of voters once again.”
The General Election will be held on Saturday, May 2, with early voting taking place in the weeks leading up to Election Day.
