Garland, TX – As flu season approaches, the Texas Health Faith Community Nursing program is gearing up to provide free flu shots to the community, continuing its mission of supporting health in underserved populations. For over 20 years, this initiative has connected vital healthcare resources with those in need, and in 2024 alone, the program organized 108 clinics, administering nearly 4,300 flu shots.
This year, the community will have the opportunity to receive their flu vaccinations during two upcoming clinics. The details for these free flu shot events are as follows:
- Sunday, October 5, 2025: 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at The Light of the World Church, located at 2929 S. First St., Garland, TX 75041.
- Saturday, November 8, 2025: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Ethiopian Evangelical Believers Church, located at 3001 Saturn Road, Garland, TX 75041.
Flu shots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for adults and children ages 9 and older.
