Keep Garland Beautiful has a number of events coming soon to help you with your recycling projects and making a meaningful difference!
Garland, TX — The City of Garland’s Environmental and Community Advisory Board met this week, and we have some exciting news to report! Keeping Garland beautiful takes all of us, and there are some opportunities coming up to allow you to both take advantage of some free programs and also volunteer to be part of the solution for our city.
On Saturday, September 13th, there are two events taking place. First, there is the Armstrong Park Butterfly Garden Maintenance project, and you can volunteer to help with this through VolunteerGarland.org.
The second event on Saturday is a free recycling event for which the details are below!

With Fall approaching rapidly, there are also some opportunities coming soon to let you get out and enjoy the cooler weather, meet some new friends and improve our city all at the same time!
• September 17 – Keep Garland Beautiful Board Meeting – They are always taking applications for new board members, so visit if you are interested in being part of the board.
• September 18 – North Texas Giving Day – If you are interested in supporting the organization, it would be welcome.
• October 11 – Tri-City Clean-up – Garland, Rowlett, & Dallas work together to clean up Lake Ray Hubbard – Sign up to be a site captain or clean-up volunteer. VolunteerGarland.org.
