Garland, TX – The City of Garland is gearing up for its highly anticipated Safety Fest, set to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, at the Fire Administration building located at 1500 State Highway 66. This community event aims to engage families with a day filled with educational activities, demonstrations, and entertainment.

Safety Fest will feature a variety of activities designed to promote fire prevention and safety awareness. Attendees can look forward to engaging in fire-prevention education sessions, a CPR demonstration, and the opportunity to witness a helicopter landing.
In addition to educational components, the event will showcase essential services with fire engines, ambulances, and police cars on display for the community to explore. Children will have a blast with activities such as a bounce slide, obstacle course, face painting, and kids’ activities, ensuring a fun-filled day for the entire family.
Food trucks will be on-site offering a variety of delicious options, and attendees can also participate in a blood drive and adopt a pet from Animal Allies of Texas, which will provide microchipping services for pets at a cost of $20.
Safety Fest is designed to be a family-friendly event that not only entertains but also educates the community on important safety measures. This is also an opportunity for residents to donate blood through the Carter BloodCare Blood Drive. Our community needs blood donors to keep up with the demand. Residents are encouraged to attend and take part in the festivities, making it a perfect opportunity to connect with local emergency services and learn more about keeping families safe.
