City of Garland Neighborhood Vitality Matching Grant: Letters of Intent Due January 23

Garland, TX – The City of Garland is inviting registered neighborhood groups to participate in the Neighborhood Vitality Matching Grant (NVMG) program, which offers matching funds for physical enhancement projects in publicly accessible spaces. This initiative aims to encourage community members to collaborate on unique projects that reflect their neighborhood’s character, fostering a sense of pride and ownership among residents.

Important Deadline:
Letters of Intent (LOI) must be submitted to the Office of Neighborhood Vitality by January 23, 2026. Neighborhood groups interested in applying for the grant can download the LOI forms, applications, and detailed guidelines at GarlandNeighborhoods.org.

The Letter of Intent serves as a crucial first step, assisting residents in identifying potential obstacles or issues related to their grant application. It is mandatory for all voluntary associations and for mandatory associations planning projects that exceed $25,000. Completed forms can be submitted to the Office of Neighborhood Vitality in person, by mail, or via email in PDF format.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, residents are encouraged to reach out to the Office of Neighborhood Vitality at Neighborhoods@GarlandTX.gov.

With the support of the Neighborhood Vitality Matching Grant, neighbors can come together to create projects that improve public spaces and reinvest back into the community. Don’t miss the upcoming deadline to submit your Letter of Intent!
