Press Release: “Reimagine Dallas” Event to Draw 1,000+ in Call for Action on Immigration, Housing, and Education

Dallas Area Interfaith Hosts Major Community Gathering November 11 at Temple Emanu-El

Dallas, TX — On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, more than 1,000 community members are expected to gather at Temple Emanu-El for Reimagine Dallas, a public action organized by Dallas Area Interfaith (DAI). The event marks the culmination of ten months of organizing focused on transforming Dallas through action on immigration, affordable housing, and quality early childhood education.

Reimagine Dallas is an opportunity for residents across the metroplex to unite in a shared vision for meaningful change and a brighter future. Leaders from DAI’s interfaith coalition of 30+ congregations and nonprofits will present their accomplishments to date and announce clear next steps on each issue.

Rabbi David Stern, Senior Rabbi of Temple Emanu-El and a champion of interfaith collaboration, will address
the assembly. He will be joined by a broad coalition of clergy from across Dallas, all standing in solidarity to support this vision for a more just and equitable city.

The following elected officials and civic leaders have confirmed their attendance, with additional elected
officials and civic leaders expected to participate.

  • Dallas City Councilmember Chad West
  • Dallas County Commissioner Andrew Sommerman
  • State Representative Terry Meza
  • State Representative Ana-Maria Ramos

“This is our moment to reimagine Dallas—not as it is, but as its residents want it to be,” said Pastor Vincent
Parker, Lead Pastor of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church. “We believe in the power of organized people
to push for solutions that reflect the values of dignity and opportunity for all.”

Media are invited to attend and encouraged to arrive early for check-in and setup.
