League of Women Voters of Dallas Announces Lineup for Annual Luncheon

Dallas, TX – The League of Women Voters of Dallas (LWVD) is excited to announce its lineup for the highly anticipated Annual Luncheon, scheduled for Friday, February 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum Hotel at 14901 Dallas Parkway, Dallas 75254.

The event will recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the community, including the winners of the prestigious Making Democracy Work Award. Dr. Levatta Levels, Student Conduct Officer at Dallas College and Co-founder of Our Vote Our Voice, will be honored for her exceptional dedication to education and community advocacy.

Additionally, the Eleanor Sutherland Volunteer Award will be given to Lynn McBee, CEO of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network, in recognition of her long-term dedication to philanthropy and community service.

The Luncheon Co-Chairs for this event are Froswa’ Booker-Drew, recipient of the 2025 LWVD Making Democracy Work Award, and Hon. Carol Crabtree Donovan, Principal at Donovan Carol Crabtree, both respected leaders in the Dallas community.

The event will feature keynote speaker and the 2024 Making Democracy Work Awardee, Margaret Keliher, a well-known figure in Dallas recognized for her legal expertise and community service, along with Mistress of Ceremonies AJ T. Cole, the LWVD Director of Communications and Founder of the Garland Gazette.

Sandy Thornton, President of the League of Women Voters of Dallas, expressed her enthusiasm for the event lineup, stating, “We are thrilled to honor these exceptional individuals who embody the spirit of community service and civic engagement. Their contributions inspire us all to work towards a more inclusive and empowered society.”
