Dallas County, TX – The Missing Pieces Support Group, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support for those experiencing pregnancy loss, is expanding its reach into Dallas County, thanks to the efforts of Jamilah Robinson. Founded by women who understand the profound pain of losing a pregnancy, Missing Pieces aims to provide support through empathy, resources, and a platform for sharing personal stories of loss.
Jamilah Robinson, a Dallas native, has taken personal experiences of grief and transformed them into a mission to help others. After experiencing two miscarriages in 2018, she felt isolated and heartbroken, unaware that many others shared her struggle. “Pregnancy loss left me feeling isolated, heartbroken, and like something within me was forever changed,” Jamilah shared. “That’s why being able to help build a community for others walking through this kind of pain means everything to me. I carry this work in my heart—it’s personal. I’m deeply grateful and blessed to be part of this movement through Missing Pieces Support Group, where no one has to grieve alone.”

The expansion into Dallas County marks a significant milestone for Missing Pieces as Jamilah seeks to connect with local women’s clinics and birthing centers to provide essential resources, including care packages and support groups. Her passion is evident as she shared numerous ways the organization has supported families and highlighted how other organizations have contributed to their mission.
Missing Pieces Support Group aims to destigmatize discussions around pregnancy loss, making it a topic that can be openly addressed. Jamilah emphasizes the importance of community and understanding in the healing process. “We try to educate those around us about how to support someone who is grieving, encouraging them to simply hold space for that person,” she explained.
The organization offers a range of services, including virtual support groups and thoughtfully designed care packages that provide immediate comfort and healing tools to grieving mothers. Each care package includes items like chocolate, tea, journals, and sentimental gifts to honor losses. Jamilah noted that these packages can be requested for free, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent anyone from receiving support.
As Missing Pieces continues to grow, Jamilah is committed to connecting with local organizations that support families. Her vision is to create a network of support that allows families to navigate their grief journey with compassion and understanding.
With a strong desire to give back to her community, Jamilah Robinson exemplifies the mission of the Missing Pieces Support Group. “No one should have to suffer in silence,” she stated. As Missing Pieces expands its reach in Dallas County, it provides a glimmer of hope for families navigating the difficult journey of pregnancy loss, offering support, understanding, and a reminder that they are not alone.
